The Dan and Betty Rude Scholarship annually awards up to $2,500 to students enrolled in an accredited, four-year, post-secondary institution and majoring in elementary education. To be eligible, applicants must be at least college sophomores and be of Norwegian and/or German heritage. The scholarship was established by Dan and Betty Rude, two dedicated, long-time Sons of Norway members and leaders who dedicated their careers to elementary education and serving youth. They wish to support aspiring teachers through this scholarship opportunity.
