Offered by Corporate Relocation Council of Chicago
The Corporate Relocation Council of Chicago Scholarship is open to Chicagoland high school seniors who relocated to the area sometime during high school. Each year, one college-bound applicant is chosen to earn $2,500 towards their postsecondary application. To apply, interested students must submit an essay “addressing the way they handled the challenges associated with relocating to the Chicagoland area and a new high school.” If you’re a high school senior who’s moved to Chicagoland in the past few years, we encourage you to apply! Keep on reading to learn more.
The Corporate Relocation Council (CRC) started in the late 1970’s as a series of informal luncheons. Because of high interest rates and associated real estate issues, Hugh Dermody, a real estate professional, decided to start inviting corporate relocation professionals to lunch in order to address the issues of the day. Over the years, the membership of the organization has continued to grow, now numbering in the hundreds. Today, CRC takes time to recognize it’s past by establishing the position of Historian for the purpose of recording and retaining past documents, photos and archives.
