Family, Career and Community Leaders of America awards one scholarship to an outstanding member in Texas Association, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. The applicant must be a graduating senior ranked in the upper quarter (1/4) of his/her graduating class or have a 3.5 grade point average on an unweighted 4.0 scale at the completion of the first grading period of their senior year. The applicant must graduate at the end of the spring semester immediately following the awarding of the scholarship. The applicant must have taken either the SAT or ACT college entrance examination and furnish proof that should be attached to the application. Each applicant must submit two letters of personal reference from persons who are well acquainted with him/her. All documents must be submitted online individually and in a PDF format. To be awarded the Cookwell & Company Scholarship all winners are required to attend the Texas FCCLA State Leadership Conference.
FCCLA is the only career and technical in-school student organization with the family as the central focus. Participation in state and national programs and chapter activities help members become strong leaders in family, careers and communities.
