The Clark Soil Biology Graduate Student Scholarship was established to recognize the importance of soil biology and the understanding of soil, plant, and microbial interactions, and nutrient cycling in terrestrial ecosystems. Applicants must be graduate student members of ASA (American Society of Agronomy), CSSA (Crop Science Society of America), or SSSA (Soil Science Society of America) who are working in the field of soil biology biochemistry, or microbial ecology. They should also have demonstrated scholarship and leadership during his/her graduate studies. The Soil Science Society of America, the American Society of Agronomy, and Crop Science Society of America share a working relationship as they share common interests in soil and crop science. However, each organization is autonomous with its own bylaws and governing boards of directors.
