Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is awarding a scholarship to a current university student majoring in Family and Consumer Science Education in a Texas college or university. The scholarship will be continued until graduation if the recipient continues to be qualified under the rules governing the scholarship. To be eligible, a student must be a Texas high school graduate, have completed one or more years of Family & Consumer Sciences in a Texas high school, and not be married. The application must include test scores of American College Testing (ACT) and/or Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and/or Texas Success Initiative (TSI); and three recommendation forms completed by non-family members. To receive scholarship, recipient must attend the state FCCLA conference in April of the year the scholarship is awarded.
FCCLA is the only career and technical in-school student organization with the family as the central focus. Participation in state and national programs and chapter activities help members become strong leaders in family, careers and communities.
