The Charles W. Tadlock Scholarship annually awards between $1,000 and $2,000 to students who have successfully completed their first year of seminary and are pursuing a master of divinity degree. Applicants must also be certified candidates for ordination as an Elder and hold a minimum 3.0 GPA. While preference will be given to Missouri Annual Conference candidates, the scholarship is open to all. While U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and DACA recipients shall follow the domestic applicant minimum scholarship requirements, those who are from one of the United Methodist Central Conference or are citizens from a country other than the United States and are enrolled in a United Methodist institution within the United States should follow the International Applicant Minimum Scholarship Requirements.

Every year, we award an average of $5.5 million to help students in the United States and abroad pursue their dreams through higher education. With this financial aid, GBHEM is opening pathways for students of all backgrounds to earn their degrees and serve as the next generation of leaders for the church and the world.
