The Carl J. Megel Special Education Scholarship is funded by the Illinois Federation of Teachers (IFT), an organization dedicated to fighting for equitable funding for education, as well as economic and social justice in schools and communities in the state of Illinois. Each year, their Carl J. Megel Special Education Scholarship awards $5,000 to a special education student to help them fund their schooling.
