Are you a graduating high school senior whose parent or guardian is/was employed by a California vineyard during the current or previous wine grape growing season? If so, you may be eligible for The California Wine Grape Growers Foundation Scholarship! Applicants must be planning to attend a California four-year university/state college or a two-year community college in the fall. They must also enroll in 12 or more units per semester and maintain satisfactory grades. To apply, submit a letter of recommendation from an instructor or principal, in addition to a copy of your SAT or ACT results if you’re applying for a four-year university. The California Association of Wine Grape Growers Foundation, as a non-profit public benefit corporation, was established to conduct public education programs, fund scholarships and support research related to the California wine and winegrape industry. Over the years the scholarship program has enabled children of California winegrape grower employees to go to college. Most, if not all, may not have been able to continue their education past high school if not for the financial aid offered by these scholarships.
