The California Teachers Association (CTA) Scholarship for Members offers five scholarships to CTA members. One of these scholarships is designated as the American Indian/Alaska Native Memorial Scholarship in Honor of Alice Piper and is awarded to the highest-scoring applicant. Another (1) scholarship is designated for an ESP member who wants to transition into the teaching profession, provided an ESP member applies. Applicants’ college coursework should demonstrate high academic achievement and they should explain any unique circumstances related to medical, physical or emotional difficulties that may have affected their grades. Additional requirements include 2 recommendation letters and applicant’s statements with a word count provided.
