Offered by Family, Career and Community Leaders of America-Texas Association
The C.J. Davidson Scholarship for FCCLA is awarded to ten outstanding FCCLA members in Texas. The scholarship is awarded per semester and will be continued for eight semesters if the recipient continues to be qualified under the rules regulated by the scholarship. Recipients must attend the Texas FCCLA State Leadership Conference held in the spring to accept their scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded to an alternate in the event the recipient does not attend. To be eligible, a student must be a recent graduate of a Texas high school, have an overall high school grade average of 85, have completed one or more years of Family and Consumer Sciences in high school, enroll in a Texas accredited college with a family and consumer sciences department in the upcoming Fall, and major in any area of family and consumer sciences. Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation and test scores of American College Testing (ACT) and/or Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
