The Scholarships360 Research Team reviews all scholarships individually and strives to exclude any scholarship where any of the below applies:

  • The scholarship requires a fee to apply
  • The scholarship provider’s privacy policy allows for the misuse of student data
  • The scholarship requires paid membership in an organization (with certain exceptions for reputable trade organizations and others)
  • Student are required to sign up for a site or service to apply*
  • The scholarship seems primarily used for lead generation** or idea harvesting purposes***
  • The scholarship website has many grammatical errors and/or advertisements
  • The scholarship or scholarship providing organization seem untrustworthy
  • There is no evidence the scholarship was previously awarded
  • The scholarship has not been awarded in the past 12 months
  • There is no available contact information

Scholarship Overview

Are you a high school senior planning to study nursing in Arizona? If so, you may be eligible for the Briana Tigue Medina Nursing Scholarship Fund! The scholarship is open to high school seniors in the Diocese of Pheonix area who are pursuing an undergraduate degree in nursing. 

The Catholic Community Foundation is a private non-profit financial institution that is proud to offer this scholarship opportunity for prospective nursing students. Their mission is to “build the future of the Faith by providing sustainable support for those who serve our community.” The scholarship was established in 2018 to honor Briana Tigue Medina and her legacy of empathy and respect in a nursing role. Every year, one hardworking nursing applicant earns $1,000 to go towards their tuition at a 4-year college or university. If you are an Arizona high school senior passionate about obtaining a degree in nursing, we encourage you to apply!

Eligibility information

This scholarship is open to full-time seniors attending a local high school within the Diocese of Phoenix, with a preference for those who attend Saint Mary’s Catholic High School. The Diocese of Pheonix includes Maricopa, Mohave, Yavapai, and Coconino counties, in addition to the Gila River Indian Reservation in Pinal County. Applicants must also meet the below eligibility requirements.
