Each year, the scholarship program awards $1,000 scholarships to students wishing to begin higher education in the upcoming academic year. As the BLM² Scholarship Foundation prides itself on providing minorities with scholarships to help reduce the financial burden of paying for college, applicants must belong to a minority group (e.g. African American, Hispanic, Asian, Pacific American, Alaska Native, etc) to qualify for the scholarship. Applicants must also hold a minimum 3.0 GPA.

The BLM² Scholarship Foundation was established in 2014 by Bernard L. Macon Jr., and his wife, Brandy L .Macon. Since the Foundation‘s inception, they have awarded over $6,000 to high school graduating seniors pursuing higher education at a college of their choice. Their mission is to "give through investing in young adults, valuing and encouraging higher education, and inspiring youth to reach and serve others."
