Are you a South Asian high school senior from New York City (NY) who is applying to and planning to attend a full-time 4-year college or university in the U.S. in the Fall immediately following your high school graduation? If so, you may be eligible for the Banyan College Scholarship for South Asian Americans! Each year, the scholarship awards between $2,000 and $10,000 each to up to five college-bound, South Asian high school seniors from New York City who have a minimum 3.5 GPA and an annual family household income of $90,000 or lower. Applicants should also demonstrate a commitment to making a difference in the lives of those around them. If you meet these criteria, we encourage you to apply! Keep on reading to learn more.
SRS Family Foundation believes that by empowering youth and maximizing opportunities for them to succeed, they empower our world. Their mission is to uplift the lives of disadvantaged youth by increasing their opportunities for education and employment, and to enrich their lives through spiritual development and exposure to the arts. Their current focus is to work with individuals and organizations in New York City that support disadvantaged youth, primarily of South Asian origin. In addition, they aim to support organizations working with adolescents in India.
This scholarship is open to students who meet the below eligibility criteria. Please also note that students must identify as South Asian in order to qualify for this scholarship.
