Astrid G. Cates remembered Sons of Norway youth with a generous bequest in her will to the Sons of Norway Foundation, which funded the Astrid G. Cates Vocational School Scholarship. Those who are current members of Sons of Norway or children or grandchildren of current members who are United States citizens are eligible to apply. Those who are enrolled in post-secondary training or vocational/trade school or have proof of enrollment prior to receiving scholarship funding may also apply. A short autobiography and a letter of recommendation that addresses the applicant’s character and abilities are required.
