The Associated Oregon Loggers Scholarship is open to college students seeking to work in the forest operator industry in Oregon. To be eligible, applicants must be studying forest engineering, heavy equipment operation, CDL, Diesel mechanics, welding, or another forest or timber-industry-related area of study at a recognized training provider. Preference points will be given to applicants who are related to an AOL (Associated Oregon Loggers, Inc.) member company owner or employee and can prove this through a letter of reference from the company. Preference is also given to employees of a member company applying for a scholarship.
While the amount awarded will vary depending on recipients’ circumstances, applicants may earn up to $6,000 (over the course of a four-year degree). Funds may be applied to applicable tuition, fees, books, and supplies.
