The Arkansas Rural Health Scholarship, created by Dr. Rhys Branman, aims to empower and encourage medical students in Arkansas who are interested in practicing medicine in rural areas of Arkansas. The $2,500 scholarship can be used for tuition fees, textbooks, supplies, and required technology, and will be disbursed directly to the student in the form of a cash prize. This scholarship program is intended to attract and support those who will thrive and remain in a rural community in the state of Arkansas, building the health workforce in such underserved areas.
