ANSWER Scholarship, Inc. was established by Susan Anderson, in 2005, in order to find a way to help a few moms go to college. She created a fund at Foundation For The Carolinas called The Andersen Nontraditional Scholarship for Women’s Education and Retraining, or ANSWER for short. Today, the mission of the organization remains to mentor and prepare mothers of school-age children to achieve a college education and inspire them to be role models of academic, personal, and professional success for their children.
In addition to meeting the below eligibility criteria, applicants must be (1) the primary caregivers to at least one school-age child (enrolled in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 12) and (2) willing to participate in the Mentors For Mom Program (in the case that they win).
