Are you a college-bound high school senior from Texas looking to attend an in-state institution to study medicine? Further, are you the descendant of a veteran or a veteran who served in the Armed Forces during the eligibility dates for membership in The American Legion? If so, the American Legion Auxiliary Department of Texas Past Presidents’ Parley Medical Scholarship may be a great opportunity for you! Each year, the scholarship is awarded to multiple college-bound Texas high school seniors who are looking to study medicine and are a veteran or descended from a veteran who served in the Armed Forces during the eligibility dates for membership in The American Legion. To apply, interested students must submit a completed application that must be signed off by an American Legion Auxiliary Unit.

The American Legion Auxiliary Department of Texas has achieved its own unique identity while working side-by-side with the veterans who belong to The American Legion. Like the Legion, the Auxiliary's interests have broadened to encompass the entire community. Applicants must (1) be Texas residents, (2) be planning to attend an institution of higher education in Texas, and (3) be the descendant of a veteran or a veteran who served in the Armed Forces during the eligibility dates for membership in The American Legion.
