The Scholarships360 Research Team reviews all scholarships individually and strives to exclude any scholarship where any of the below applies:

  • The scholarship requires a fee to apply
  • The scholarship provider’s privacy policy allows for the misuse of student data
  • The scholarship requires paid membership in an organization (with certain exceptions for reputable trade organizations and others)
  • Student are required to sign up for a site or service to apply*
  • The scholarship seems primarily used for lead generation** or idea harvesting purposes***
  • The scholarship website has many grammatical errors and/or advertisements
  • The scholarship or scholarship providing organization seem untrustworthy
  • There is no evidence the scholarship was previously awarded
  • The scholarship has not been awarded in the past 12 months
  • There is no available contact information

Scholarship Overview

Are you a college student pursuing a degree in aviation or aerospace? If so, consider applying for the Amelia Earhart Academic Scholarship! The scholarship is open to members of The Ninety-Nines pursuing a college degree in aviation or aerospace. The Ninety-Nines, Inc., an international organization of licensed international women pilots, is proud to offer this and other scholarships for future pilots. They look to promote aviation education and scholarships to honor their history and share their passion for flight. In 1940, The Ninety-Nines established the Amelia Earhart Memorial Scholarship Fund to honor her memory and continue her legacy of love for flying. Thus, their Academic Scholarship awards up to $10,000 to multiple recipients to help fund their flight training, every year. If you are a college student looking for some help paying for your aviation program, we encourage you to apply!

Eligibility information

The scholarship is open to college students pursuing a career in fields such as aerospace engineering, aviation business management, air traffic management, or professional piloting. Applicants must also be members of the Ninety-Nines and meet the below eligibility requirements.
