Scholarship Overview

Are you a college-bound high school senior of Italian heritage who is residing in or has a UNICO Chapter/District sponsor from California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, or Wisconsin? If so, the Alphonse A. Miele Scholarship may be a great opportunity for you! Each year, they award $1,500 scholarships to multiple Italian-American high school seniors who are residing in or have a UNICO Chapter/District sponsor from an eligible state and will be attending an accredited campus-based college/university program in the United States full-time. Applicants may receive the scholarship for up to four years so long as they maintain renewal requirements.

About UNICO Foundation Inc.

UNICO was founded on October 10, 1922 in Waterbury, Connecticut. Each year, UNICO Foundation and UNICO National Chapters donate approximately $1 million to various charities. Scholarships continue to be the primary focus, as roughly one-third of all monies raised goes to deserving students from chapter locations throughout the chain.
