The Alan R. Epstein ‘Reach for the Stars’ Scholarship annually offers $1,000 to $5,000 awards to college-bound high school seniors who have endured extreme life challenges, and have displayed the character and courage to overcome such obstacles. The scholarship was established by the Epstein Family to honor the life of an outstanding young man who was tragically killed in an automobile accident. To apply, students must submit a ~1,500-character-long statement or 2-minute-long video about their family’s financial status, as well as separate statements about their school/volunteer activities and work experiences.
