Are you a liberal arts or non-business degree holder who plans to obtain a degree in accounting? If so, consider applying for the AICPA John L. Carey Scholarship Award! The AICPA John L. Carey Scholarship Award is open to liberal arts or other non-business degree holders who will be pursuing a degree in accounting or another business field for this upcoming school year. Applicants must also be AICPA members and be planning on pursuing CPA licensure.
The scholarship is offered by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the national professional organization of Certified Public Accountants in the United States. They established the John L. Carey Scholarship Award in order to honor John Carey, former vice president of the AICPA who dedicated his entire career to serving the accounting profession and made it a priority to encourage outstanding students to become CPAs. Each year, the scholarship awards $5,000 to help eight (8) lucky recipients pursue their accounting degrees and careers. If you’re passionate about obtaining a degree in accounting and CPA licensure, we encourage you to apply!
In order to be eligible for this scholarship, you must be a liberal arts or non-business degree holder pursuing both a graduate degree in accounting and CPA licensure. Applicants must also be AICPA members and meet the below eligibility requirements.
