The Adell McMillan Memorial Scholarship was established to assist women in developing their leadership potential within the profession. It benefits the recipient through financial support to participate in activities that provide professional development, networking, and leadership opportunities. The applicant must excel on campus through leadership, achievement, and institutional involvement and demonstrate a commitment to and leadership potential in the profession. Individuals eligible for this award must have one to five years of experience in the profession at an ACUI member institution; or be a degree-seeking student enrolled at an ACUI member institution. The Association of College Unions International (ACUI), founded in 1914, is a nonprofit educational organization that brings together college union and student activities professionals from hundreds of schools in seven countries. Its members work on urban and rural campuses, in two-year and four-year institutions, and at large and small schools. They are students and administrators whose mission is to build campus community. ACUI enriches them all through education, advocacy, and the delivery of services.
