Scholarship Overview

Are you a current college student and member of the 37th DVA in good membership standing, or the direct lineal descendant (to the third generation) of a 37th DVA member? If so, the 37th Division Veterans Association Scholarship Grant Program may be a great opportunity for you! Each year, the program awards scholarships to multiple 37th DVA members of their direct lineal descendants who are pursuing a post-secondary education. The purpose of the program is to provide funds from investments that will be used to assist veterans and descendants of veterans of the 37th Infantry Division (37th ID) in obtaining post-high school and advanced education by providing scholarships. If you are a current member of the 37th Division or a descendant of one who will be attending a post-secondary institution, we encourage you to apply! Keep on reading to learn more.

About 37th Division Veterans Association

The 37th Division Veterans Association (37th DVA), a non-profit veterans organization, was originally formed on April 13, 1918, by veterans of the 37th Infantry Division who fought in Europe during WWI with the American Expeditionary Forces (AEF).

Applicants must either (a) be current members of the 37th DVA in good membership standing or (b) be the direct lineal descendant (to the third generation) of such a member.

Application information

In addition to the below application materials, interested students must submit their birth certificate, a copy of their parent's birth certificate that is directly related to their sponsor, and a copy of the sponsoring 37th DVA veteran's DD Form 214, NGB 22 or equivalent, verifying service in the 37th Infantry Division or its heritage units.
