Further, are you on a current roster (American Legion National Baseball Electronic Registration Form) filed with National Headquarters? If so, the American Legion Department of Iowa Baseball Scholarship may be a great opportunity for you! Every year, each Department Baseball Committee will select an American Legion player who best meets the qualifications as the American Legion Baseball Scholarship winner. Each winner will receive a scholarship from The American Legion of $500 or more. The American Legion Baseball Scholarship is a fantastic opportunity for deserving baseball players to receive between $500 and $5,000 in scholarships each year. Each Department Baseball Committee may select a player from its department to receive this scholarship. While Department Baseball Scholarship Winners receive $500, eight players selected by a scholarship selection committee at The American Legion World Series will receive an additional $2,500 scholarship. One other player, selected as the most outstanding member of the All-Academic Team, will be awarded an additional $5,000 scholarship. Scholarship recipients can receive their scholarships immediately upon graduation from an accredited high school and must utilize the total award within eight (8) years of their graduation date, excluding active military time. The Fisher Cats Foundation Scholar-Athlete Scholarships annually award $1,500 to 15 college-bound high school seniors from New Hampshire or specific Northern Essex County Massachusetts schools (see eligible schools under "Eligibility Information"). Recipients will be selected using criteria that include academic achievement, athletic achievement, and active citizenship. If so, consider applying to the Scott Fibranz Memorial Baseball & Softball Scholarship Fund! Each year, the scholarship awards up to $1,000 each to current and incoming post-secondary students from Alaska who played baseball or softball while in high school, or who will participate in the American Legion League during the summer baseball season immediately following graduation from high school. Preference will be given to students with a minimum 2.5 GPA and to those who will be playing in a college/university baseball or softball program, but neither is required. The Dixie Youth Scholarship Program is open to high school seniors who have participated in a Dixie Youth Baseball (DYB) program when they were twelve years old or younger. The scholarship was established by the founders of DYB, who desired to develop a college scholarship program that would help former players obtain a college education. If so, the Prairie Baseball Academy Scholarships may be a good opportunity for you! Each year, the scholarships award between $1,000 and $2,000 to 30 Alberta junior athletes on the Alberta Junior Hockey or Football team or the Prairie Baseball Academy.
