    Scholarships Overview

    From Illinois Tech

    Rooted in our shared mission of advancing opportunity through education, we at Illinois Tech have several of its own competitive scholarship programs that are open to both undergraduate and graduate students. All domestic undergraduate first-year and transfer students are automatically considered for scholarships that cover a generous portion of expenses such as tuition.

    First-Year Student Scholarships

    All domestic first-year students are considered for the Heald scholarship, an institutional tuition award ranging from $60,000 to $120,000 over four years of undergraduate study. No additional application is necessary to be considered for the Heald scholarship. Additional institutional and donor funded scholarships can also be availed and mostly require application.

    Undergraduate Transfer Student Scholarships

    Transfer students are eligible for scholarships between $56,000 and $100,000 over four years of undergraduate study without needing to fill out a separate application. Students who submit an updated FAFSA to Illinois Tech will be considered for additional grants. One as a transfer student can also apply for our institutional scholarships.

    International Undergraduate Student Scholarships

    Illinois Tech is committed to enrolling a diverse and talented student body, and we offer institutional scholarships to international students ranging from $40,000-$100,000 over four years of undergraduate study. Both international first-year and transfer students can get a mix of scholarships and grants, which may include institutional scholarships and Phi Theta Kappa membership. The university automatically checks each application for these scholarships, considering academic performance, community involvement, and other accomplishments. No extra application is needed.
