    Ambassador Premier Scholarships

    This scholarship covers 75% of tuition and fees, plus a book stipend for four years of college. This is a competitive student and requires a 4.0 GPA and 1280 SAT or 27 ACT.

    Bright Futures Scholarship

    The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program awards merit-based scholarships to Florida high school graduates. It covers tuition and fees at eligible Florida colleges and universities. There are different scholarship tiers with varying requirements based on GPA, test scores, and community service hours. Students must file the Florida Financial Aid Application (FFAA) to be considered.

    Using State Grants at FIU

    If you are considering FIU and you reside in the state of Florida, be sure to look into the Bright Futures program. This is a state-run grant for Florida high school students who will be going to school in-state. You can use the money at both public and private institutions. The grant can cover up to 100% of your educational expenses if you qualify for Florida Academic Scholars.

    Pell Grants at Florida International University

    48% of students at Florida International University receive Pell Grants, which are awarded to undergraduate students with demonstrated financial need (students who have a bachelor’s or professional degree are not eligible). Pell Grants are awarded by the federal government and do not need to be repaid. To apply for a Pell Grant, students will need to submit their FAFSA.
