For more than 100 years, the University of Redlands has been preparing students for lives of meaning, impact, and joy through immersive, personalized, and professional education.
As a private, nonprofit university, we offer more than 40 undergraduate programs and over 30 graduate programs in business, education, theology, communications, geographic information systems, music, and public policy. We are constantly working to make this belief a reality by providing over 90% of our students with merit-based scholarships, talent-based scholarships, and/or generous financial aid packages. Typically, students with a 3.5 GPA or higher are competitive for merit scholarships.

All Redlands applicants are considered for merit-based scholarships in the application review process. Our Achievement Awards are awarded up to $36,000 per year and renewable for all four years ($36,000 x 4 = $144,000!). Typically students with a 3.5+ GPA are competitive for these scholarships.

That’s why our application process is test optional.
As an institution committed to access for all, this one step is an effort to remove barriers in the college admissions process. Removing the requirement to disclose test scores allows applicants to put their best foot forward and choose how they want to be presented to our admissions team.
Applicants that choose to not disclose test scores will receive full consideration for admission and scholarships.
