This scholarship honors high-achieving Scouts who demonstrate standout citizenship, patriotism, and love for their country. The scholarship is funded by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), an organization that has been in partnership with the Boy Scouts of America since 1915. If you have a strong record in Scouts and you’re seeking funds to help pay for college, we encourage you to apply!
This scholarship is open to students meeting the below eligibility criteria.
High School Students
No GPA requirement
Applicants must (1) have received the Eagle Scout Award, Girl Scout Gold Award, Venture Summit Award or Sea Scout Quartermaster Award, (2) been a registered, active member of a Boy or Girl Scout Troop, Venturing Crew or Sea Scout Ship at the time the reward was received, and (3) not be older than 18 years old.
