    The University of South Florida (USF) offers a variety of scholarships for both in-state Florida residents and out-of-state students.

    USF Florida Resident Scholarships

    The University of South Florida (USF) offers merit-based scholarships to admitted Florida resident first-time-in-college students. These scholarships are awarded automatically when students submit a complete freshman application for Summer or Fall semesters by the January 15th priority deadline.

    USF Non-Florida Resident Scholarships

    The University of South Florida (USF) offers merit-based scholarships and out-of-state tuition reduction waivers to high-achieving non-Florida residents. The scholarship consideration deadline is January 15th, and students are automatically considered for these awards when they submit a completed freshman application for Summer or Fall semesters.

    Bright Futures Scholarship

    The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program awards merit-based scholarships to Florida high school graduates. It covers tuition and fees at eligible Florida colleges and universities. There are different scholarship tiers with varying requirements based on GPA, test scores, and community service hours. Students must file the Florida Financial Aid Application (FFAA) to be considered.

The grant can cover up to 100% of your educational expenses if you qualify for Florida Academic Scholars.

    University of South Florida Financial Aid

    Students who are applying for financial aid at University of South Florida need to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (or FAFSA).The FAFSA opens up on October 1st, and students should apply as soon as they can! The FAFSA uses financial information from the prior, prior year which means that you don’t need to wait for the year to end and can use last year’s financial information.

    Pell Grants at University of South Florida

    29% of students at University of South Florida receive Pell Grants, which are awarded to undergraduate students with demonstrated financial need (students who have a bachelor’s or professional degree are not eligible). Pell Grants are awarded by the federal government and do not need to be repaid. To apply for a Pell Grant, students will need to submit their FAFSA.
