Apply for the Milton Fisher Scholarship for Innovation and Creativity if you are a:
-a student who has solved artistic, scientific, or technical problems in new or unusual ways
-a student who has come up with a distinctive solution to problems faced by your school, community or family
-a student who has created a new group, organization, or institution that serves an important need
Who is eligible to apply for the Milton Fisher Scholarship for Innovation and Creativity?
Eligible applicants to the Milton Fisher Scholarship for Innovation and Creativity must satisfy these two conditions:
1. Applicant must be (a) a high school junior, or (b) a high school senior, or (c) any person entering an undergraduate degree program* in the fall after the application deadline or the following spring, or (d) a student in the first year of an undergraduate degree program*.
2. Applicant must be (a) a Connecticut or New York City metropolitan area resident planning to attend or attending an institution of higher education anywhere in the United States, or (b) a resident of any part of the U.S. planning to attend or attending an institution of higher education in CT or NYC.
How much is the Milton Fisher Scholarship for Innovation and Creativity worth?
The Milton Fisher Scholarship for Innovation and Creativity is a four-year scholarship worth up to $20,000 (up to $5000 per year for four years).
The selection committee anticipates granting 3-6 awards of up to $20,000 each to applicants who demonstrate exceptional innovation and creativity. Financial need will not affect the selection of recipients. However, the amount of any award, from $1000 to $5000 per year, renewable for four years, will be determined by the financial need of the recipient.
When is the Milton Fisher Scholarship for Innovation and Creativity application due?
The application deadline for the 2018 scholarship is May 1rst.
