Offered by Georgia Student Finance Commission (GSFC)
Are you a Georgia resident looking to attend an in-state university? If so, you may have come to the right place!
Every year, the Zell Miller Scholarship is offered to Georgia residents (for at least a year) who will be attending a Zell Miller eligible college or university in Georgia. In addition, applicants must meet the following criteria to qualify: (1) graduate with a minimum 3.7 calculated HOPE GPA, (2) earn a minimum of four full rigor credits from the Academic Rigor Course List, and (3) earn a minimum 1200 SAT or a minimum 25 ACT score. While these are the criteria for those attending “eligible” high schools or accredited home study programs, bear in mind that graduates from “Ineligible High Schools or Unaccredited High Schools” may also apply. However, the eligibility criteria for such students may differ (check the GAFutures website for more information).
To apply for this scholarship, students must complete either the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or the Georgia Student Finance Application (GSFAPP). If you’re an incoming college freshman interested in scholarships for Georgia residents, we encourage you to submit an application!

First created to provide loans, the agency progressed to state- and lottery-funded scholarships, grants, service cancelable loan programs and providing free financial aid consultation.
