Offered by Colleges and Universities of the Anglican Communion
The Episcopal Church is a Protestant denomination that follows the teachings of Jesus Christ and embraces a legacy of inclusion. A key Episcopalian belief is God’s love for every human being. If you follow the teachings of the Episcopal Church, are attending an Episcopalian high school, and have plans to matriculate into an Episcopalian college or university, you may be eligible for the William Randolph Hearst Service Learning Scholarship!
Each year, the scholarship awards $5,000 each to an outstanding Episcopal student enrolling in one of seven (7) Episcopalian universities. Eligible colleges include: Bard College, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Kenyon College, St Augustine’s University, The University of the South, Université d’Haiti (Port-au-Prince, Haiti, WI), or Voorhees University. Applicants should demonstrate a strong record of Service Learning and community service, along with academic achievement in their junior and senior years, outstanding leadership, and a commitment to worship and community life in their school and/or parish.
