This Western Reserve Herb Society Scholarship annually offers $6,000 each to two (2) college upperclassmen who are pursuing a Plant Science or related bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university anywhere in the United States. Applicants must also have a minimum 3.2 GPA. To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must submit two (2) essays, one (1) letter of recommendation, and an official college transcript. The top two applicants will be granted $6,000 each to help fund their post-secondary education.
Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate exceptional dedication through outside experiences and whose career goals may involve work in areas such as the public or nonprofit sector, education, sustainability, and research. The Western Reserve Herb Society (WRHS), a non-profit organization, is a unit of The Herb Society of America. WRHS is dedicated to promoting the knowledge, use and delight of herbs through educational programs, research and public outreach.
