Offered by Waterbury Promise
Residents of Waterbury, Connecticut, look no further! If you’re looking for help to pay for college, you’ve come to the right place.
The Waterbury Promise Scholarship is a last-dollar scholarship, paying off one’s remaining college expenses after all other financial aid has been applied, that is offered to Waterbury (CT) residents planning on attending an accredited, in-state university. To qualify, applicants must also hold a minimum 3.0 GPA and have graduated from a Waterbury Public School, Holy Cross High School, or Kaynor Technical School.
Recipients may earn up to $20,000 to help pay off their college expenses. Certain universities (University of Connecticut, Eastern Connecticut State University, Post University, and the University of New Haven) will also provide an additional “scholarship match” to recipients who are admitted to their school, worth between $5,000 and $25,000, depending on the institution. While the deadline for submitting is February 15th to receive priority consideration for financial aid, it is highly recommended that you submit it earlier to qualify for more financial aid.
If you sound like a fit for this scholarship, we encourage you to apply! But don’t stop there – there are many other Connecticut scholarships available on the Scholarships360 platform. Happy applying!
