Offered by First Responders Children’s Foundation
Vincent Bennett Jr. was a Manager for Cisco Systems in Iselin, N.J. for 15 years, and an integral member of First Responders Children’s Foundation’s inaugural Hero Awards Gala Committee. He came from a family of first responders and was a passionate believer in “doing the right thing” and living life to the fullest. To honor his memory and contribution to the First Responders Children’s Foundation, the Vincent Bennett, Jr. Memorial Scholarship was established to support the dreams of children of law enforcement officers and firefighters who were left deceased or permanently disabled in the line of duty.
In addition to being the child of a law enforcement officer or firefighter killed or left disabled while on the job, applicants must be incoming college freshmen with a minimum 2.7 GPA. While preference will be given to those majoring in engineering, this is not required to apply. Awards will be granted based on financial need, academic achievement, and applicants’ history of community service.
Before you go, be sure to check out our law enforcement scholarships, firefighter scholarships, and scholarships for students with disabled parents. Don’t miss out on this chance to earn funding for your future.
