Both mechanical and electrical engineers design power-producing machines, such as electric generators, internal combustion engines, and steam and gas turbines, to name a few examples. However, while electrical engineers typically focus more on the power generation product of a design, mechanical engineers focus more on the application of that power. If you’re a San Luis Obispo (SLO) County, California high school senior planning to go into either field, the Towru Kobara Scholarship may be the perfect scholarship opportunity for you!
To qualify for the scholarship, worth up to $20,000, individuals must be SLO County high school seniors planning to pursue a mechanical or electrical engineering degree at a two- or four-year university. Community college applicants must also plan to transfer to a four-year university to be eligible for the scholarship.
If you’re interested in this scholarship, we encourage you to explore other scholarships for California residents, electrical engineering scholarships, and mechanical engineering scholarships. Good luck with your scholarship search!
