    Scholarship Overview

    Are you a first-year, NMU (Northern Michigan University) Wildcat in need of financial need to fund your education? If so, the Schultz Family Foundation First-Generation Empowerment Scholarship may be the perfect opportunity for you!

    Each year, the scholarship awards up to $15,000 per year, for up to 4 years, to multiple first-generation students currently in their first year at NMU. Applicants must also be domestic (not international) students, live on NMU’s campus in either residence halls or on-campus apartments, and demonstrate financial need. To apply, interested students must complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and submit an essay in addition to their scholarship application.
