    Scholarship Overview

Editor’s Note: This scholarship is set to open on November 1st, 2025.

The film “The Polar Express” details the journey and struggles of a young boy unsure about his belief in Santa Claus. The team at the Polar Foundation saw a parallel between this and the way that many young high schoolers “face challenges with self-belief.” To reassure students of their capabilities and provide them with funding to attend college, they are offering the Polar Scholarship!

To be eligible, individuals must be Floridian high school seniors who are planning to continue their education at a two- or four-year institution or vocational school. In addition, they must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, have accumulated at least 200 hours of community service, and have achieved either a minimum 1040 SAT score or a minimum 21 ACT score. A varying number of recipients will be chosen each year to earn the $1,000 scholarship.

If this sounds like a good opportunity for you, and you’d like to embark on the next journey of your own life, we encourage you to apply! Before you go, be sure to check out our other community service scholarships and scholarships for Florida residents. Happy applying!
