Taking its name from an Iroquois word meaning “Meeting Place”, Otsego County was first established in New York in the 1840s. Now, the county homes approximately 60,000 people, as well as the National Baseball Hall of Fame. To celebrate its residents with dreams of higher education, the Clark Foundation Scholarship Program for High School Students is granted to students attending one of 13 schools in Otsego County and surrounding towns each year.
To be eligible for the renewable scholarship, students must be graduating from one of the following schools in or around Otsego County, New York: Cherry Valley – Springfield, Cooperstown, Edmeston, Laurens, Gilbertsville Mt. Upton, Milford, Morris, Mt. Markham, Owen D. Young, Richfield Springs, Schenevus, Worcester, or Otsego Area Occupational Center BOCES, Milford. Applicants must apply through their guidance departments in order to be considered.
