    The Scholarships360 Research Team reviews all scholarships individually and strives to exclude any scholarship where any of the below applies:

    • The scholarship requires a fee to apply
    • The scholarship provider’s privacy policy allows for the misuse of student data
    • The scholarship requires paid membership in an organization (with certain exceptions for reputable trade organizations and others)
    • Student are required to sign up for a site or service to apply*
    • The scholarship seems primarily used for lead generation** or idea harvesting purposes***
    • The scholarship website has many grammatical errors and/or advertisements
    • The scholarship or scholarship providing organization seem untrustworthy
    • There is no evidence the scholarship was previously awarded
    • The scholarship has not been awarded in the past 12 months

    Scholarship Overview

    Are you a college-bound high school senior from Massachusetts with plans to attend a four-year university and receive a bachelor’s degree? Further, have you been engaged in a quality mentoring relationship that has been in existence for at least one year (not with a parent or legal guardian)? If so, the The ALKU Scholarship may be a great opportunity for you! Each year, the scholarship awards $7,500 to one (1) Massachusetts high school senior who plans to go to college, has a long-term mentor, and who holds a minimum 2.75 GPA. To be considered for the scholarship, interested students must submit a 100-200-word personal statement, as well as a letter of recommendation from and a photo with their mentor. The scholarship may be received for up to four years, allowing recipients to earn a total of $30,000, so long as they continue to meet the GPA requirements.
