Offered by Auburn University
Since its establishment in 1856, Auburn University has gone through many changes. Among these are its name, originally being called the East Alabama Male College, as well as the size of its student population — growing from a mere 80 students in 1859 to a whopping 34,000 as of 2025. If you’re a proud Alabaman and an incoming Auburn University Tiger who would like to be part of this long legacy, the Spirit of Auburn Presidential Scholarship may be a great opportunity for you!
Each year, the scholarship program awards an average of $11,000 to the most academically impressive incoming freshmen from Alabama. Specifically, applicants must hold a minimum 3.5 GPA and an ACT score between 33 and 36. To be considered for the scholarship, interested students must simply apply to Auburn University by December 1st and have been accepted for Early Action admission by early February – no additional application is required. Bear in mind that the earlier you apply (and are accepted) for admission, the more likely you are to win a scholarship. The scholarship is renewable for four years.
This is just one of the many competitive merit scholarships offered by Auburn University. If you’re not sure whether you qualify for the Spirit of Auburn Presidential Scholarship, consider checking out the Spirit of Auburn Founders Scholarship, Spirit of Auburn University Scholarship, AU Academic Presidential Scholarship, AU Academic Heritage Scholarship, or AU Academic Charter Scholarship instead. Good luck!
