Offered by University of Redlands
Out of the generosity of the Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation, the San Manuel Excellence in Leadership Scholarship was established to support young, indigenous students attending the University of Redlands.
This generous opportunity, awarding up to $5,000, is awarded each year to University of Redlands students of Native American, Alaska Native, or Native Hawaiian heritage. Students should also “demonstrate a commitment and connection to a Native community through leadership and advocacy” to qualify. All San Manuel Scholars are expected to develop valuable contributions to Native communities after graduation. The exact amount awarded to each student will depend on their financial need (as determined by the FAFSA).
Interested U of R students can apply by reaching out to the Native student programs office. Keep on reading to learn more!
