Offered by Julian & Josie Robertson
Are you a student leader who is currently attending or planning to attend the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, or Duke University in the upcoming academic year? If so, you’re in luck!
The Robertson Scholars Leadership Program, generously established by Julian & Josie Robertson, is annually awarded to multiple incoming or current freshmen at UNC-Chapel Hill and Duke University who demonstrate the ability to make “changes in the world around them, who believe in possibilities, and have the creative imagination to solve intractable problems.” Recipients will be awarded eight semesters of full tuition, room and board, and most mandatory fees for Scholars at Duke and UNC-Chapel Hill. They will also have access to funding for up to three summer experiences and for up to two semesters of study abroad.
While all applicants must submit a Robertson Scholarship application, high school senior/graduate applicants must also remember to apply for admission to either UNC-Chapel Hill or Duke University. Further, as deadlines differ for each type of student (high school seniors vs. current freshmen), we recommend checking your respective Robertson Scholars Leadership webpage before applying. Good luck with your application!

Julian and Josie Robertson established the Robertson Scholars Leadership Program in 2000, inspired by Julian's incredible leadership and business savvy, as well as his and Josie's desire to give back. Julian had spent multiple decades as a businessman, growing his company Tiger into the world's largest hedge fund. With their money earned, he and Josie became active philanthropists and environmentalists. This led them to the creation of the Robertson Scholars Leadership Program, established to help fellow North Carolina students become leaders and make the impact they hope to make in the world.
