Offered by Philadelphia Education Fund
The Philadelphia Education Fund’s College Access Program (CAP) aims to help low-income students, students of color, and first-generation students from the Philadelphia area thrive in college and beyond. Students who participate in the CAP are given the opportunity to work closely with mentors and receive specialized advice as well as “career exposure opportunities.” If you participated in this College Access Program, you may qualify for the Philadelphia Education Fund Last Dollar Scholarship!
Granting between $500 and $7,500 each, the Last Dollar Scholarship is a generous opportunity for CAP participants who will be graduating from select high schools in the Philadelphia area. Eligible schools include: Bartram, Frankford, Furness, Kensington Creative and Performing Arts, Olney, and Roxborough High School. As the scholarship is a need-based “gap” award, the exact amount awarded to students depends on their Student Aid Index and cost of attendance. Students can reapply each year for up to 6 years as long as they maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA.
