Creative outlets, such as music, are an amazing way to destress, express your emotions and imagination, and even earn a scholarship! If you’re an NSHSS (National Society of High School Scholars) member who enjoys expressing themselves through music, look no further than the NSHSS Performing Arts: Music Scholarship.
This $1,000 scholarship is annually awarded to two (2) NSHSS members who are planning to pursue a professional certificate, associate, or bachelor’s degree in performing arts (with a special interest in music). Applicants must also have a minimum 3.5 GPA and submit one (1) recommendation letter, a ~5-minute performance video, a short description of their piece, a ~500-word essay, a colored headshot of themselves, a transcript, and a resume to be considered for the scholarship.
