The NASA Connecticut Space Grant Consortium “Undergraduate Research Grants” were established to support and promote undergraduate researchers with faculty advisors at their institution. To qualify, applicants must be enrolled full-time at the time of application and during the entire project period at one of the Consortium Member Institutions.
To be considered for the scholarship, students must provide a research proposal, a budget worksheet and narrative, two (2) recommendations, a resume/curriculum vitae, and a transcript. They must also provide proof of U.S. Citizenship to their respective Campus Director for accurate and timely completion of the Grant Verification approval. Two recipients will be chosen to earn up to $6,000, each year.

The NASA Connecticut Space Grant Consortium (CTSGC) is a federally mandated grant, internship, and scholarship program that is funded as a part of NASA Education. There are Space Grant Consortia in all 50 states, plus Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico. NASA CTSGC, in an effort to encourage broader participation in NASA research programs, was formed in 1991 by the following post-secondary education institutions: Trinity College, University of Connecticut, and University of New Haven with the University of Hartford as the lead institution.
