Offered by Arlington Community Foundation
A Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) is a student-led or community-based organization that is present on many middle school, high school, and college campuses across the United States. They serve as not only safe places for LGBTQ+ individuals and their allies to come together, but also forces for positive change for the LGBTQ+ community in schools and across their local communities. If you are an Arlington Public School (APS) high school senior who is a GSA member, the Arlington Community Foundation may have a great opportunity for you!
One (1) student is chosen to receive the $2,000 scholarship each year. In addition to being a GSA member at their school, applicants must be in their final year of a public high school in Arlington County, Virginia. Applicants should also demonstrate achievements in leadership and financial need. If this sounds like a good fit for you, we encourage you to apply.
Plus, don’t forget to browse Scholarships360 for similar scholarships! There are plenty of other scholarships for Virginia residents and scholarships for LGBTQ+ students available on our platform. Happy applying!
