Home to the beautiful Cascades Waterfalls, Jackson County, Michigan, is interestingly also known as the birthplace of the Coney Island Hot Dog. Today, approximately 160,000 people call it home. If you’re a current resident, student, or GED Holder who attended or is attending a high school in Jackson County, the Jackson Community Foundation may have the perfect scholarship opportunity for you!
To qualify for the Jackson Legacy Scholarship, applicants must be a graduating high school senior residing or attending school in Jackson County (MI), a 12th Grade Jackson County Early College student preparing to enter their 13th year, or a returning or completing Jackson County Nontraditional Student with a High School Diploma or GED. They must also plan on attending or be enrolled full-time or part-time at Baker College of Jackson, Jackson College, or Spring Arbor University. Recipients will earn a $5,000 scholarship that may be renewed for 4+ years as long as they continue to complete community service and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA.
