Harold and Cynthia Carter established a scholarship fund to support higher education for LaRue County students. Harold was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran where he received the Army’s top civilian award. Cynthia retired from civil service with more than 36 years of service in various jobs at Fort Knox. They both hope to give back to their community by lessening the financial burden of students in LaRue County planning on attending Elizabethtown Community and Technical College.
The Harold and Cynthia Carter scholarship fund allows up to 10 students annually to receive $2,000 per year to attend Elizabethtown Community and Technical College after graduating from LaRue County High School. This scholarship is open to many residents of LaRue County, even if it has been years since you graduated from high school.
This scholarship is specifically for LaRue County High School graduates, so if you do not fit this criteria do not fret! Scholarships360 has scholarships available for Kentucky students in general and for adults who want to go back and continue their education. Apply today – your future awaits!
